Best of the Best: Gin Bars in Leeds

When it comes to gin, we know our stuff, and we love nothing more than a tipple of the good stuff.

But what makes a truly exceptional gin? What do you look for? And harder still, what makes a good gin bar? Well let us tell you… it’s all about the experience.

What on earth does that mean, we hear you cry. Let us explain…

A Humble Abode

Gin is one of Britain’s oldest and most popular drinks. In many respects, you could say gin captures the spirit of Britain. Gin is equal across all measures, it does not discriminate. So our favourite thing to do, is to pull up a pew, at a humble abode, where you are welcomed in with open arms, and made to feel special, made to feel like you belong.

A Good Selection

Whether it’s a refined menu featuring a handful of top notch gins, or a full bar featuring 50+ specialist and popular gins, the defining point are the gins themselves. We love nothing more than tasting new wonderous creations, made by local distilleries, who are producing real masterpieces in their small batch gins.

Though we also have our staple favourites, of which many have become popular brand names, now seen in the supermarket – hats off to them. From Slingsby Gin to Masons Yorkshire Gin, there are some absolute corkers.

But show us a bar with a very basic G&T option, and you will bring tears to our eyes.

An Experienced Team

What could possibly make your gin taste better? The detail of an experienced delivery – from the description on the menu, to the enthusiasm and gusto of the bar tender, the experiential gin journey is built from the story of its creation, right up to it’s smell and taste.

An Exquisite Atmosphere

Atmosphere is everything. Give us some ambient lighting, a great bartender and a top shelf of gin, and we are happy! We want to enjoy our gin experience, savouring the flavour of our gin tasting, amidst the decadent glory of the venue.

So which Leeds bar has the best ‘gin experience’? Ok, so here is where we name some names.

Cue drumroll… In no particular order:

Each have their own very particular style, and intriguing identity. Check them out for yourself, and let us know what you thought.
